What a shame. Another case of LGBTQ history being elided from the record. Do we have to conclude that Raoul Peck is homophobic?

Not at all, Mike. I think filmmakers have to make choices and he made a choice different than the one I would've made. Hard to fit Baldwin's life into a couple of hours in any event.

To erase and deny Baldwin's queerness is a denial of who he was and how he was treated by his black contemporaries.
