Sorry, Sue, but I didn't find it heinous. I am drawn to WWII stories and while it was a hankie turner, I still found parts of it to like. And yes, of course, Bill NIghy tears up the scenery some and is amusing. Sorry you found it such a bore. Oh, it was a bit predictable, but I go to movies to be taken away from my own confuzaled mind, and it did that for a while.
