Gema Gray

You nailed it Katz!

My favorite moment...The Muppets winning for best song. :-)

Sue Katz

Gema, I didn't know you were an Oscars watcher. But did you hear who is representing the UK in Eurovision?!

Gema Gray

Are you kidding?! I *always* watch...and then await your critique with baited breath.

Engelbert Humperdink! He's been my 83-year-old mother's heart-throb since I was a little girl. The songs are so ingrained in me that "Please release me, let me go, for I don't love you any more..." springs disturbingly easily to my mind at the mere mention of this guy.

Sue Katz

I haven't yet read the backstory to his "election" and I wonder how perplexed the young people of Europe will be (too young to have heard of him) when they tell each other how strange the names of those Brits are.

Gema Gray

The guy was born Arnold George Dorsey!

Sue Katz

Perfect!!

Charles Coe

As a member of Sue's "Oscar Posse" I have to say her party is a social highlight of the year. I think my favorite moment of the broadcast itself was the brilliant, incredibly droll Wizard of Oz "focus group" with the Christopher Guest repertory company(Bob Balaban, Catherine O'Hara, Fred Willard, and Eugene Levy). If you check that gang out in Best in Show you might want to bring an extra pair of underwear...

Sue Katz

Let's tell the truth Charles: you're funnier than even the focus group! An extra pair of undies indeed.
