We all benefit from your life force, the gift to dance, to lead, to swing. It is lovely to have a dad who supported you, in his way.

Very interesting piece. When no one could help me with a lump-in-the-throat symptom after my gastric bypass, only two things worked: acupuncture and Reiki. They both gave me relief and helped solve the problem. I'm always open to alternate therapies, especially when a diagnosis is elusive. Thinking of you and Saul's lovely eyes.

I enjoy your columns but have never commented here before. I'm over 70 and have a bad knee amid other aches and pains. I saw an ad on Facebook back around January for curcumin, a major part of the spice turmeric. Turmeric/curcumin is good for lots of things in helping your health. Anyway, I have been using it for about six months now and my joints definitely feel better and stronger. The company's name is Smarter Nutrition, based in California. Hope this info helps. Good luck!
